There are some collections we design just because they're beautiful or fun.
And then there are the ones that feel deeper.
The Equestrian Edit at POP Party Supplies is the latter.
This collection wasn't just inspired by a trendāit was shaped by generations of family, tradition, and a deep love for horses that runs through my name and my memories.
š“ A Family Rooted in Horses
My last name is Morgan. And in our family, that has always meant something.
For generations, my family raised Morgan horsesāAmerica's first horse breed, founded in 1789 by the legendary stallion Justin Morgan. Known for their beauty, strength, and unmatched disposition, Morgan horses have long been considered the perfect horse.
They're distinctive in their buildāslightly more "up-headed," with a proud, alert presenceāand known for their intelligence, loyalty, and heart.
But to me, they were never just a breed. They signified family.
š¾ Red Fox Stables & The Magic of Tradition
My grandfather, Robert Morgan, owned a 300-acre farm in Northern California called Red Fox Stables. He later purchased Green Mountain Stock Farm in Vermontāthe historic home of Justin Morganāand built a bi-coastal horse program dedicated to preserving and promoting the Morgan horse.
Red Fox Stables became the backdrop for so many of my earliest memoriesā
family gatherings, adventures on the ranch, hillarious conversations, and most memorably, holiday mealsā¦ which were always served up on my grandmother's china.
They weren't just dishesāthey were tradition. (Those plates are actually the direct inspiration behind our Equestrian Horse Riding Paper Dinner Plates.)
And they represented a sense of continuity that felt bigger than any one moment.
Over the years, my family bred and placed over 450 Morgan horses and believed deeply in the breedānot just as an animal, but as a symbol of integrity, beauty, and partnership.
One of my grandfather's most meaningful initiatives was giving away a Morgan horse to a child in the 4-H club each yearāintroducing a new generation to the breed and everything it stood for.
His belief was big, and his enthusiasm was infectious. He believed that a partnership with a Morgan horse was one of life's greatest adventuresāa priceless heritage truly understood only by those who experienced it.
š Why This Became a Party Collection
As I built POP Party Supplies, I kept coming back to a feeling that was missing at the time. Covid had hit, and we were all living more isolated livesācommunity gatherings discouraged, celebrations paused.
I kept asking myself:
What if we could create party products that made you feel something?
